  • To create an organic and unbiased platform, which would encourage free exchanges of ideas and best practices and help strengthen and enrich the BPO body of knowledge.
  • To create a well-organized, web-searchable database of approved BCI CTPs globally; this would help all stakeholders in locating training providers conveniently and reliably.

Though complete details of the same can be provided upon request, here’s glimpse of the broad eligibility parameters prescribed by BCI for the award of a CTP status:
  • History of the applicant Organization in terms of age, achievements and recognition
  • Quality of Intellectual infrastructure including Trainer panel, training systems, training toolkits, knowledge resources like reading material, presentations, case studies, games etc

The Process of Becoming a CTP
BCI has laid out an 8-step process for awarding a CTP status to an applicant organization. These are:
  1. Applicant Organization filing the prescribed BCI CTP Application form
  2. Receipt of the Application pack and collection and analysis of the Application form and the enclosed Course Materials by the BCI Credentialing Management Center (CMC)
  3. Upon receipt of the CTP Application pack by the BCI CMC Office, the Applicant organization is sent an electronic acknowledgement of the same alongwith detailed information about the Application Review team appointed for the task, with a list of clarification queries from the Applicant Organization.
  4. The Applicant Organization makes answers to the queries made by BCI as well as sends its agreement about the Review panel appointed for its case (or states the names of the people with whom there may be certain conflicts of interest).
  5. The BCI-CMC committee studies the application form for completeness and makes reference checks if required. After completion of this exercise, a report is sent back to the Applicant Organization mentioning the exact status of its application. This report can be either “Green”, “Yellow” or “Red”. A “Green” Report generally signifies that the Application is now complete to the satisfaction of the Review Panel and only a decision is pending; whereas, a “Yellow Report” means there is information missing in the form. The “Red” Report however signifies a serious discrepancy in the form, and unless clarified well, may actually lead to rejection of the Application.
  6. After the internal review is complete, organization’s application and all submitted course materials are finally forwarded to another independent Reviewer alongwith comments.
  7. Post review the Reviewer’s recommendations are sent back to the BCI CMC and the Applicant Organization is duly informed of the result.
  8. BCI CMC finally issues the CTP approval letter to the Applicant Organization basis the recommendations made by the three CTP Review panels.
